The Make-over

Your description of shankar is typically like Kamal Hassan's intro in the  movie Meendum kokila. I must say, this kitty character is quite obnoxious. The story is very nice and very nice character potrayal. You are very creative

FROM 200 B.C. to 2008 A.D.

Very informative blog. We make rasam in the eeya chombu too.( Not me of course, mom does. Carrying a eeya chombu to US is almost unthinkable). I was wondering about energy efficiency as well..but got the answer in the comments posted. But i am sure to try clay for setting curd. Thanks for the input. And yes, the sambar does look very yummy :)

Second Life

Madhavan and his kin seem too good to be true. The world will be a better place with such people around. Nice story and i am glad it has a happy ending :-)

Caste Away

Sad state of affairs - the current reservation system. You put it rightly - i dont know why our country is striving to be mediocre. I am glad we are done with the "education" part of life lest we need not go through this nonsense. These 'reservations' are created to cater to one's own selfish needs. Someday it will backfire - lets hope it then makes a difference!
Good research on the origination and purpose of the caste system.
Good blog with a creative and wishful thought in the end. Way to go

Lost in Translation

Remember my 4th grade poem in Hindi about a Cuckoo? I cant remember it now, but i am sure you will, at least for all the pains that you took to understand that poem.
Brilliant blog. Enjoyed it completely.

The Last Reason

Beautifully written. Kept me captivated throughout. What started as curiosity, ended with a tear in the eye and a lump in the throat. You never know what life has in store for you. I just hope the wife and child are doing well, wherever they are.
Way to go
